After a whirl-wind of Summer Camp Fun, Antsy Nancy LLC committed to teaching an eight-week, after-school cooking class with four CFSD (Catalina Foothills School District) schools.
Via the C.A.R.E. (Children’s Activity and Recreation Environment) Program, Antsy Nancy instructors are teaching students at Manzanita and Sunrise Drive Elementary and Orange Grove and Esperero Canyon Middle Schools to decorate cupcakes and sugar cookies with royal icing, to use candy melts to double dip pretzels and make gourmet popcorn, how to make healthy smoothies and granola bars, and even how to make their take-and-bake pizzas!
In order to accommodate the after-school programs whilst continuing to schedule weekly in-person classes and a demanding private party and off-site schedule, Heidi Yribar, Founder & CEO, needed to ramp up staff quickly.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled with my amazing and talented team,” said Yribar. “With so many businesses struggling to hire qualified employees, I was truly blessed with the quality of applicants who found me and Antsy Nancy.”

Yribar is thrilled with the response from Tucson families about her classes available both on-site at Antsy Nancy’s 5655 E River Rd. location, and off-site, at the CFSD schools. “I’d love to offer classes in the TUSD and Tanque Verde School Districts, as well,” said Yribar.
