A macaron or is a sweet meringue-based confection made with almond flour, which is one reason they are so expensive to buy. The other reason is because they take precise skills, which you will learn at Antsy Nancy. These beautiful cookies can come in any color and be filled with many delicious flavors.
Macaron classes are 3 hours in duration due to the 1+ hour where macaron shells will rest, bake, and then cool before filling. During this downtime, students are encouraged to enjoy dinner or some shopping at Tucson Mall.
PLEASE NOTE: This class is located on the 1st Floor of Tucson Mall (Oracle & Wetmore) at 4500 N Oracle Rd., Suite 110 – CATALYST Creative Collective by SAACA. See Attached Map of Tucson Mall
Students will practice the techniques for folding, piping and baking your own macarons.
Upon check-in, students are provided aprons and storage for personal items before visiting the hand washing station. Tools and materials will be distributed and demonstration provided along with hands-on class. Recipes will be given to students to take home, along with the macarons they make in class.
