Learn how to make uramaki sushi (inside out rolls) with our easy homemade sushi rice recipe. We will use varied fillings to create the most popular sushi recipes, like California roll, Spicy Tuna roll (served raw)*, Seattle roll, and Philadelphia roll.
Students 21 years + are welcome to bring their own wine, champagne, beer, etc. to enjoy during class. Please see our BYOB policy for more details.
*Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
Attendees will learn the process and recipe for making perfect sushi rice, as well as the ingredients, and sauces to create several uramaki roll varieties. Each student will have hands-on experience filling and rolling sushi in bamboo mat, and then slicing into perfect sushi rolls.
Upon check-in, students are provided aprons and storage for personal items before visiting the handwashing station. Students will be seated in a thoroughly cleaned and sanitized workspace and given seating request preference, when available. Tools and materials will be distributed before instructor takes the class step-by-step through the successful recipe execution. Each student will make and enjoy two rolls of their choice.
