Learn to decorate cakes with confidence in this cake decorating class. We’ll starting with the cake basics of leveling, crumb coating, and hands-on practice making and coloring buttercream frosting. We’ll then frost a perfectly balanced 3-layer cake before adding a sprinkle border, candy melt drips, and pipe symmetrical dollops for our cake topper of choice.

PLEASE NOTE: This class qualifies as a Parent & Child Class, which enables 1 parent/child duo to attend class and complete 1 project, while paying 1 class fee. If both parent and child want to complete their own project, 2 registrations must be made.

Event Timelines

What you will learn

Students will learn baking tips, best frosting and buttercream recipes, proper techniques for leveling and crumb coating layer cakes, tinting and coloring with gels, and more advanced cake decorating techniques required for this class.

What to expect

Upon check-in, students are provided aprons and storage for personal items before visiting the hand washing station. Tools and materials will be distributed and demonstration provided along with hands-on class. Recipes will be given to students to take home, along with the cake they decorated in class.
