Summer Camp: What’s for Dinner? Cooking Around the World

Class Date:

July 15, 2024

Class Time:

2:00 pm

Event Location:

Antsy Nancy

As a parent, how many times have you heard the question, “What’s for dinner?” Students will learn how to create a homemade meal made famous in a specific country or region, focusing on their unique flavors and culinary traditions. Each day will end with the camper successfully preparing and packaging dinner for a family of 4. Dinners will be accompanied with the recipe used, along with easy to follow heating instructions. We’ll even teach campers how to set the table! Each night, when you pick your kiddo up, be sure to ask them, “What’s for dinner?”

Our Cooking Around the World Camp is designed to compliment our morning, Baking Around the World session.

NOTE: For campers who opt to register for both the 9am-12pm Baking Around the World session, the 2pm-5pm Cooking Around the World session, AND the 12pm-1pm Optional Lunch, they are able to stay the additional 1pm-2pm hour, at no additional fee, where they will assist instructors with class set-up.

Monday: Customize Apron and Italy – Lasagna with Homemade Pasta

Tuesday: Greece – Turkey Gyros with Tzatziki Sauce

Wednesday: China – Dumplings and Sticky Rice

Thursday: Mexico – Carne Asada Street Tacos and Tableside Guacamole

Friday: New Orleans – Jambalaya with Sausage, Chicken, and Shrimp

Camp is 2pm-5pm. Every Monday, campers will customize an apron to use during camp, that they will take home at the end of the week. For repeat campers, they can opt for a 2nd apron or a new special project. Antsy Nancy Summer Camp is ideal for ages 6-14, but each child is different and has different experience levels and needs. Please contact us with questions or concerns.

Pricing: Camp is $275 per week (Cooking Around the World Camp is +$100 to cover the additional materials). 2 Weeks prior to camp start date, if space allows, daily registrations may be made for $75 per day and will open up 2 weeks prior to camp.
