A macaron or is a sweet meringue-based confection made with almond flour (making them Gluten Free), which is one reason they are so expensive to buy. The other reason is because they take precise skills, which you will learn at Antsy Nancy. These beautiful cookies can come in any color and be filled with many delicious flavors. We will make vanilla bean macarons and fillings of chocolate ganache and vanilla buttercream.
As an added treat, this class comes with a pizza break! Because Macarons require a 45 minute rest before baking, guests will enjoy a slice or 2 of Jimmy’s New York Pizza.
Students will practice the techniques for folding, piping and baking your own macarons.
Upon check-in, students are provided aprons and storage for personal items before visiting the hand washing station. Tools and materials will be distributed and demonstration provided along with hands-on class. Recipes will be given to students to take home, along with the macarons they make in class.
