You can be a hero this Thanksgiving by bringing a delicious and picture perfect apple pie – that also happens to be GLUTEN FREE.
This class will be taught by Jennifer Kinkade, Owner of Dedicated Bakery. Dedicated Bakery uses fine ingredients and traditional methods to produce exceptional GLUTEN FREE baked goods, including our famous cream puffs, pastries, breads, cookies, pies and more.
This class is optional as a parent/child class, which allows each parent/child team to register with only 1 class fee and 1 materials fee, if making 1 pie together, and 1 class fee and 2 materials fee, if making separate pies.
Students will be introduced to the Art of Perfumery, the Language of Olfaction, and the botanical essences that are the building blocks of natural perfumery. We will discuss the various Olfactive families, the difference between Top, Middle & Base notes, and how to best combine natural essences to design your own personal scent. This class will be both an introductory scent training and custom blending session.
Upon check-in, students are provided aprons and storage for personal items before visiting the hand washing station. Refreshments will be self-served prior to settling into a thoroughly cleaned and sanitized workspace. Expect a magical journey through the world of natural botanical essences! During this two-hour session, be prepared to smell several Accords (blends) from various olfactive families, which are the building blocks of our creations. With guidance, each student will create a simple formula, and drop by drop, mix their own personal perfume blend in an amber glass bottle with perfumer’s alcohol. Each student will leave with their perfume blend, as well as a decorative bottle and pipette to decant the finished fragrance at home.
